  • Fall & Winter Conferences
    Our district conferences are a great chance to meet other Lions in our district, share ideas, and learn more about Lions.
  • State Convention
    If you enjoyed the conferences, you will love our Annual State Convention gathers Lions from all over Virginia. This three-day event is the cumulation of our Lions year, and this is where we elect our leaders for the following year.
  • Lions Club Handbook
    This book is an excellent introduction to Lions, and provides basic information about what we do, how clubs are organized, and answers to many F.A.Q.'s

For Clubs

  • Incoming Officers School
    Training classes for incoming club Presidents&Vice Presidents, Secretaries, and Treasurers, are offered at the State Convention in May, and again in June or July in various locations throughout our district to ensure that all incoming officers are able to attend.
  • Emerging Lions Leadership Institute
    The E.L.L.I. focuses on building the skills of Lions members for leadership opportunities at the club level, including the position of club president.
  • Guiding Lions Program

For Zone Chairs

The Zone Chair is the liason between the clubs in his zone and our District Governor. The Zone Chair assists individual clubs as needed, and ensures that each club is aware of and has access to any resources they need.

  • Advanced Lions Leadership Institute
    A.L.L.I. focuses on building the skills of Lions leaders to prepare them for leadership responsibilities at zone, region and district levels, and is available to Lions that have completed a successful term as club president, but have not yet attained the position of First Vice District Governor.
  • District Governor's Elect Seminar
    This three day seminar is held in Chicago every January for incoming District Governors. All costs are covered by L.C.I.
  • Governor Training in Virginia
    Each year, a special three hour class is held in Roanaoke for the incoming District and Vice Govenors. This class explains the details and duties expected of governors in Virginia.

  • Lions University
    Lions University is sponsered by the USA/Canada Forum, and offers dozens of on-line classes. It's objective is to provide year-round leadership development opportunities for Lions Club members.
  • Lions Learning Center
    Sponsered by LCI, Lions Learning Center offers Lions the opportunity to sharpen their knowledge of Lions fundamentals and leadership skills through online interactive courses.

Global Leadership Team

Lions Clubs International provides a variety of training and development opportunities for current and future Lion leaders. The Global Leadership Team (GLT) is the driving force behind these programs and is the team responsible for promoting healthy clubs, increasing member satisfaction, and ultimately, expanding our capacity to provide needed service in our communities.
